Heritage Week 2017 @ Ballycroy National Park

Event:                   Guided Machair Walk hosted by Ballycroy National Park & Mulranny Environmental Group

Location:              Murrivaugh Beach, Co. Mayo

Description:        Join us on a guided walk of the Rossmurrevagh Machair sand plains as we explore the ecology and formation of this rare and important habitat type.

Event:                   Nature Treasure Hunt

Date:                     22 August, 1pm – 4pm

Location:              Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre

Description:        Join the guides at Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre for a fun-filled, nature themed Treasure Hunt for all the family. Learn about the flora and fauna of the park as you hunt for clues.

This event is suitable for all ages. All children must be accompanied by a guardian. The treasure hunt can be completed at any time between 1pm and 4pm, there is no time limit.

Description:        A Talk on the History and Folklore of the Birds of Ballycroy National Park and surrounding areas.
