

We are holding a Quilting Workshop on Wednesday 2nd August 2017. The event is free and participants will learn how to make paper patterns for 2” hexagonal piecing with a demonstration.
You will also learn to fussy cut scraps of fabric into 2½” square and secure them around the pre-cut paper patterns.
Quilting will be by hand, no machine is required and all materials will be provided. There will also be a demonstration on making binding, if time permits.

All materials will be provided.
An ability to sew is necessary.
All work will be hand sewn there will be no machine sewing.
We will be making a small item so that many aspects of this type of quilt making will be covered, although this design could be made into a bedspread. The workshop will consist of paper quilting, how to prepare materials, how to build the quilt, secure the quilt, quilt the quilt and bind the quilt.
